Just a quick update on Surveyhead…. We’ve had a great response from our readers on this survey site that pays via Paypal, and you get $5 for free just for signing up with Surveyhead. So check it out if you haven’t yet!
They offer higher paying surveys too! One thing that I really like about Surveyhead is they pay you to fill out your profiles (such as your food profile, entertainment profile, etc.).
I also recommend you log into Surveyhead every day to find new surveys to take, as some of the surveys fill up quickly!!! I’ve been with this site since 1999, and I love it!
If you haven’t signed up for this one yet, I recommend you give it a try. Sign up here

I would sign up but I get enough spam in my email as it is.

@ Jenny: If you are concerned with spam, we recommend using a separate email account just for surveys. That’s what we do, this way any survey stuff stays out of your personal account and you don’t have to worry about your main email account being spammed. Most email hosts will let you have several accounts. I like using GMX myself, you get 10 accounts for free.

How does one handle the multiple survey income when it comes to your taxes? Do you not make enough to file? Form an LLC? Add it as extra income?
I was popped by the IRS for not filing on a side job as a teenager so I definitely want to avoid that again 🙂

Jenny – just wanted to add I have NEVER gotten any spam from Surveyhead. I have been a member of Surveyhead since 1999. They send survey invitations, and that’s it! They are an awesome company!

@ Shawn: The IRS requires you report any income. Some survey sites send you a tax form at the end of the year, some don’t. Some people don’t report survey income, we do just because I don’t want to deal with the tax man.
We just keep track of all our payments received in an excel spreadsheet, then at the end of the year we add that in for income taxes. We used turbo tax this last year and did our own taxes, it even had a section for extra income. All in all it hardly changed how much taxes were due in the end.
There are all kinds of rules and loopholes, I suggest talking to a CPA or tax accountant if you are unsure of how to handle it. They can tell you exactly all the limits for the exemptions and how everything comes into play.
