We posted recently about the Nielsen Homescanner Panel, a cool program where you can earn free stuff and rewards…. and I wanted to give you a quick update and further explanation of the program. As you may know, I was placed on the waiting list for our area, and I recently received the following email from Nielsen Homescan Consumer Panel (copied/pasted below):

What Homescan® Panelists Do
If selected to participate on this elite panel, you will be sent a small, handheld scanner (provided by Nielsen at no cost to you) to scan the UPC barcodes on all of your household’s purchases. Then, once a week, via the scanner, you’ll send your purchase information to us. That’s it!

I was a member of this, I could never get the software to work, you have to download a program, finally when I did get it working with their help, I get a nasty letter DEMANDING the return of their scanner, also the stuff I got as free gifts weren't that great.
Sorry to hear of your experience. I also know of several people who are members of the panel that really love it and have had great experiences with it. I will post about my experiences once I get the scanner, etc. I can't wait, the program sounds awesome! Anything where I can get free stuff rocks!
