Since saving money on groceries is so important to us, you can understand my excitement when Michelle at Wicked Cool Deals shared a great post with me about 20 Ways to Save at the Grocery Store! I love some of her tips, and we try to incorporate a lot of these tips in our own life! Here are some of my favorite ways she lists to save money on groceries:

Plan your weekly menu around featured sales. This can not only save you a lot of money, it can save you TIME.

Shop local for produce. There are not a lot of coupons available for produce, and it can be very expensive at the grocery store. If you are lucky enough to have a local produce shop, this is the best way to save.

Consider store brands. Store brand products can often be significantly cheaper than a brand name product even with a coupon! The trick is to find store brands that you and your family enjoy.

Check your receipt. Always, always check your receipt BEFORE you leave the store. The store often makes mistakes, and you may have made a mistake.

Have a budget and keep track. Know what you can afford to spend each month. However, make sure it is reasonable and makes sense for your family.
