So before they expire you have to have them transferred to a card that expires (they send it to you in the mail). You have to bring that card to the Disney store and have it transferred to a Disney gift card if you don't want it to expire. If you live near a store, that won't be a problem for you. But since I've been saving up my points for a similar vacation as discussed above, I have to drive 2 hours (one way) once a year to deal with this.
