Are you trying to lose weight in 2010? Or maybe even just trying to exercise more and get in better shape? If so, we want you to JOIN US!!! Several of us were chatting in the Old Navy chat room last Thursday about our weight loss and fitness goals for 2010. Some people mentioned they would be interested in an informal “weight loss” / fitness group to help them stay accountable for their weight loss and fitness goals in 2010! We would like to extend an invitation to all of our readers to join us!
I know I need to exercise more, but with a newborn and a toddler, I can never seem to find the time. This informal group would help all of us stay accountable for our fitness/weight loss goals (whatever those goals may be – your goals are individual and totally up to YOU!) and help us all motivate each other to stay on track!
ASK THE READERS: Are you interested in joining us and other readers for “Get Fit 2010″? If so, please post a comment on this blog post. We would like to gauge reader interest and then determine how to proceed from here. If there is enough interest, we will even do some GIVEAWAYS to help motivate everyone who is trying to get fit / lose weight!
NOTE: Some of the people in the chat room mentioned they are having good success (losing weight and inches!) with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD, and I was curious to try this program as well… so I just bought it from Amazon for FREE using my free Amazon gift cards from searching online with Swagbucks and getting paid to rate websites with iRazoo. It’s only $8.99 to begin with!! So if you have no idea of where to begin with a goal, this may be a place to start… but again, YOUR personal goals for weight loss and fitness are up to you.
- Official sign up is now located here: Get more info and sign up!

I would love someone to hold me accountable!!! I have several Leslie Sansone dvds that I like.
sign me up! i’ve got 40 pounds of post-partum baggage that needs to go away!
Would love to have extra motivation!!! Hard to do it on your own!
So, I watched the DVD this afternoon (to prepare myself for what I will start tomorrow). Level one didn’t seem too bad. I HATE push-ups though (I have very small, weak wrists), but they don’t go on for too long!
My biggest fear is, that I don’ t have someone to come, grab me by the ear, and make me do it!
Wow, push ups? I wonder if I can even do one… I notice you said you “watched” the DVD…. but did not exercise with it? I guess we will have to physically come to your house to help you get started!
CAFM ROAD TRIP!!! Now that would be fun!
Yeah, just watched today. I do that with these kind of videos. Prepare myself mentally. A couple years ago, I bought a dance workout video (I used to teach showchoir and all the dancing kept the pounds off). I thought it would be so simple, so I sat down to run through and make mental notes (so I wouldn’t have to keep watching the tv while dancing). It was HARSH! Woo! A great workout, but man, I couldn’t keep up. Since then, I always watch first to see if I’m in over my head! LOL
Any of you are welcome to come to N.O. and get me off my sofa!
lol thats the most i’ve done with my dvd also! I popped it into the DVD player and watched it. It took me 2 weeks to put it into the dvd player though!
I like the sound of that!
I have done this workout (last year) and have started up again a couple of weeks ago on this particular Jillian Michaels work out video and LOVE it! It is a great 20 minute workout with three different levels of intensity. I have 20 lbs left to lose so I would love to join in on this. Need all the motivation I can get!
I’m interested, my goal is to lose 12 pounds by May.
Hey MSM!! I am one of the ones that got the video a while back and wow, it is awesome! Have you started doing it yet? I am on level three (as of yesterday) and feel like i have toned up so much! I also have stopped eating late and no more “snacking”! I used to be really bad about that. I have been doing it now for 2 weeks and took pictures before and will take them after wards… are we going to be able to post them on your site, or do we need to do that on our own sites? Thank you so much for doing this!!
I was in chat as aw62101 and yes, I’m interested!
Just finished day 7 of the Shred.
I am up for this too! I am doing a 5k the end of March and have never run in my life- lol! I am starting the Couch to 5k program, but could deinitely use some motivation!!
I am starting back with the shred today. Having lost over 18″ the first time I did the shred (a three week stint back in June) I really want to get back to it. I am going to measure myself and although I have hit my weight loss goal of losing 60lbs I really want to tone up. Thanks for helping to keep me accountable.
We should be able to post before and after pictures on our site if you email them to me. That would rock! I have not started yet – I just ordered the DVD on Sunday so it hasn’t arrived yet. I am anxious to watch it though. Ha ha WATCH IT.
You know I have to give you all a hard time.
I need motivation too!!! And sleep, lol.
I would also love to join! I am trying to shape up for summer and lose 20 pounds. I started the 30 day Shred last night after hearing all the great things about if from last week’s ON chat. I already feel sore from one time! Love it.
I would be very interested in joining a support group. I have been doing WW for awhile, with pretty good success. My husband and I bought the Wii Just Dance game and have been using that as our workouts and comedic entertainment!
That Shred DVD looks good, I will look into that!
I already replied that I was interested in joining a support group, but I just thought about maybe helping each other out with some recipes. My family and I follow The Total Money Makeover plan pretty strict and live on a tight budget, so I plan my dinner menus around affordability and health. I think we do pretty good, but it would be good to share some advice with recipes and costs.
I’d totally be interested. I just had a little girl 3 weeks ago and have a son turning 3 in March so understand about not finding time. I love to use the Wii to work out and lost 15 lbs with DDR last year. Have 5 lbs. left of baby weight and then hoping to attack the 10lbs. I kept from aforementioned toddler. I have Your Shape, EA Sports Active and DDR 1, 2 and 3 in my arsenal
I like the idea of sharing affordable healthy recipes too. It is hard to find affordable and healthy food in rural Kansas, unless you grow it yourself!
Also, is DDR Dance Dance Revolution? Has anyone else tried that? That one sounds really fun to me! But we still need a gaming system first!
