We are in the process of planning a garage sale for next saturday. We are going to hold the mother of all garage sales if possible. In an effort to raise money for debt and clean up this crapshack in an effort to declutter.
So we have been researching garage sale tips, advertising, organization, sales, pricing and strategy. Whew, this is overwhelming.
So far I have bought about a half dozen brightly colored sale signs and will put them up on several major intersections and streets around on sat morning.
I will be putting it in our local paper this week, putting up flyers at my work as well as wifey’s work, spreading the word and creating ‘buzz’.
We have a ton of our stuff, old junk, stuff we don’t use, and misc. We also have tons of clothes and stuff from our branches of the family trees who wanted to clean house and donate to the cause.
I am going to borrow a bunch of long tables from work this weekend, grab a bunch of boxes. I am going to get everything organized and priced and ready to go. Hopefully I can get it all tabled up friday in the garage and just put the tables out on saturday morning. I have got tons of change and I still need to get some 1’s, 5’s and 10’s from the bank.
