I have been doing a bunch of reading to look for more ideas to trim the fat in the budget. Just thought I would share my thoughts after reading them. Of course these were borrowed from the public library, why pay for something you are already paying for in your taxes!
Anyway:
Kevin Trudeau’s Eliminate debt: What a pile of crap, waste of time reading. I guess if you had really old loans and certain circumstances his advice would help, but otherwise… what a waste.
Jason Anthony’s Debt Free By 30: Not the best read, but a decent motivating book, had some good thoughts and ideas.
Larry Buckett’s The Worlds Easiest Guide to Finances: I guess that this book would be good for someone who has no common sense, but in reality this book was a waste of time.
Tightwad Gazette 1, 2 and 3: Yes, I did read all 3 volumes. Now here was some good reading. While about 2/3 of each book was kind of not really applicable to us in this decade or our situation, there was a ton of good ideas and thoughts in there. Definitely stop by the library and check these out sometime.

I ordered The Budget Kit by Judy Lawrence. This is truly a straight up budget template book. I really like it because I have a 9 1/2 month old and my brain is fried when I do have the time to sit down and think of every single expense we have. Good, no frills, back to basics workbook.
