While I submitted a couple posts over the last couple weeks I have been pretty dormant as far as blogging goes. My parents came to visit for a week from Canada, my son had his first birthday and I have been working on everything from yardwork to housework to de-cluttering in between. With all that said as happy as I have been and as hard as I have been working I got kind of stressed and lax last week too. I ended up spending money on fixup projects to get some things done while I had my dad to help, I ended up spending money on a couple things we could have done without and worst of all I ended up buying a couple things as well as focusing my efforts on selling.
So while I did well and managed to sell a lot of things on eBay and such, I still ended up buying two items I didn’t need for about 300 dollars a piece just because I felt like I needed a reward for my hard work. But due to my mental state at the time I ended up slipping back into my old habits.
I guess the only thing to do is to try to stay motivated, think positive and keep pushing forward. What’s done is done and I can’t change the past.
That aside, I am happy to say that I am back both mentally and physically and will be providing much content in the coming weeks as far as financial motivation. While I am sure it can help you as well, I need to motivate myself right now in any way I can. Blogging is my outlet and support, so I need to keep at it.
Please help keep me on track!

I read debt/financial blogs for inspiration. We must be twins because I had the same kind of week. I have been so good lately then….selling AND buying on ebay. I feel awful. But your post helped me to remember to just get right back on the wagon. Don’t beat yourself up too bad. Just get re-focused. Thanks!

I agree with ms b and am going to share the following thought with you. It is not many lives you must touch, for if you touch but one life you have made a difference. And it sounds like your blog is doing that.

Wow, thanks for the kind words of encouragement.
It means a lot to hear back and know that I am not alone in this venture and that I am helping to motivate others.
Thanks again for the encouragement!
