Just a reminder that today, October 8, 2009 (10/8/09) is the day for Jumpstart’s Read for the Record program. If you haven’t yet, please take a few minutes to watch our Read for the Record video on the Walmart website. (The CAFM video is the second video on the site – Money Savin’ Momma is the one in the pink shirt.)

You can also download a cool badge to display on your website, Facebook page, etc. to let everyone know you are taking part in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record program! My son and I just finished reading the book! He loved it!

Jumpstart Read for the Record 2009This is a wonderful program, and I encourage all of you to pledge to participate. It is not too late to sign up, so sign up TODAY! Reading to children is one of the things I am absolutely passionate about. I have a master’s degree in library and information science, and I can tell you that you will never regret the time you spend reading to your children. It will give them a head start in life. I recommend you begin reading to your children as soon as they are born. No child is “too young” to benefit from having an adult read to them. So please take a few minutes, and take part in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record program today!
