Homemade Lavender Bubble Bath! Lavender is well known to be one of the best scents for calming and relaxing both adults and children. I love to purchase bubble bath for long luxurious and relaxing baths for myself and the kids. It is the perfect way to end a stressful day on a sweet note. However, the sulfectants and other ingredients included in store bought bubble baths can be drying and harmful in other ways due to the chemicals.  Making your own is very easy and cost effective, but most importantly, I believe it’s safer for you and your family to use. While leaving the sulfates out means that your homemade bubble bath will not foam up nearly as well as the store bought version, it still creates a heavenly scented bath with smaller bubbles.

Homemade Lavender Bubble Bath
Ingredients:
1 cup castille soap, unscented
1/3 cup vegetable glycerine
1/4 cup distilled water
16-20 drops lavender essential oil
container with a spout or pump top – I love to upcycle body wash and shampoo bottles for this
Find these and many other natural ingredients at Mountain Rose Herbs.
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, stirring gently.
Pour into container.
To Use: Add a generous amount under running water, can also be used as a gentle body wash, it rinses clean and smells great!
If you have hard water you may find it bubbles even less or not at all. The lack of sulfates is to blame but is also a bonus, it still makes a lovely bath that softens skin and scents the water.
Do not use on babies younger than 3 months
