Kid’s Homemade Pillow Bed / Chair (Pillow Pallet)
Having seen these awesome pillow loungers flying around Pinterest last year I was dying to make my own. I wanted to give them a try because I was sure they would make great Christmas gifts, and I was so happy with the final project. You can stay simple or get as elaborate with your pillow pallet as you like! For some extra pizzazz, use character themed pillowcases, favorite colors, add your kiddo’s name with vinyl, iron on letters, or fabric paint, etc… Even if you only have the most basic of sewing skills and can only sew a straight line this project is a piece of cake!
This Kid’s Homemade Pillow Bed / Chair (Pillow Pallet) post is part of our 2016 Homemade Christmas gifts series! Be sure to check out the rest of the gifts here: 2016Â Home Made Christmas Gifts.
Kid’s Homemade Pillow Bed / Chair (Pillow Pallet)
To create your own Kid’s Homemade Pillow Bed / Chair (Pillow Pallet) you will need:
4 pillow cases
4 pillows
sewing machine/thread
Directions:
Lay two pillowcases together, sew  1″ from edge along the longest sides, be sure that the opening is at the same side for both. If you are more comfortable you can pin your pillowcases prior to sewing to save them from slipping around.
Open your two cases so they look like this….
Repeat with your other two pillowcases, then sew the two sets together, make sure that your seams and openings are all on the same side!
If you wish to personalize with iron on letters or fabric paint this is the point you should do it. Once done -slip pillows inside each of the cases.
There are so many fun ways your child can use their pillow pallet – folded up as a head rest on the bed, stretched out on the floor for a pallet, or folded over just once for a nap mat.
Folded in half up against the couch for a comfy seat

These would be perfect for our weekly family nights! A lot of times the kids are fighting over who gets to sit in the gaming rocker so this would be a great solution! Thanks for sharing your tutorial with us at Merry Monday this week!
