I know we have lots of Homeschool Parents out there, and also Parents of Kiddos with Autism. As an autism mom myself, I wanted to take a few moments to share a letter I wrote for all the Homeschool Moms (and Dads) of Kids with Autism…
Dear Homeschool Mom (or Dad) of a Child with Autism,
I know you are tired. I know there are many tears, much pain, and many struggles. I know, because I live the autism life too. I feel the fear, the worry, and the looks of other parents who do not know the daily struggles. I know the aloneness you sometimes feel even when you are surrounded by people, and the constant worry for your child’s future and your child’s dreams.
You’ve made the decision to homeschool your unique child who is a gift from God… a child with many special gifts, and you should be proud of your decision. You are doing a great job. Please don’t worry about what others think of you. You are doing what you believe is best for your child, and you are awesome.
Take each day one day at a time. Pray, pray, and pray some more.
Mom (or Dad) of a Child with Autism — You are doing your best, and yes, that is enough. You are a great parent, and I want you to never forget that!
Much love to you, from a mom who lives the autism life daily.
Love,
Jaime @ Coupons and Freebies Mom
Are you ready for a new (home) school year?
Perhaps you’ve already started your year, or perhaps your school year never ends (you homeschool year-round). Either way, what homeschool mom couldn’t use a little extra money for homeschool curriculum or resources?
I’ve gotten together with a great group of homeschool bloggers to do just that – give 2 moms a gift card they can spend on their homeschools. How does $250 sound in helping you buy curriculum, books, games, puzzles, or whatever educational supplies you might need? Two people will win a $250 gift card to Rainbow Resource Center!!
We know homeschooling can put financial strain on families – whether it’s from living on one-income or buying curriculum for mulitple children – the financial aspect of it can be stressful. Our hope is that we can bless a couple of homeschool families (although we wish we could bless many more) so they can buy the curriculum and supplies they need for their school year.
To enter for your chance to win, simply use the Rafflecopter form below to enter. Now I know that is quite a few entries for you, but each of these bloggers generously chipped in their own money to bring you this giveaway, so I hope you will take the time to do all of the entries. And hey, the more entries you do, the better your odds are of winning!
