Homemade Peppermint Sugar Scrub Recipe
Nothing feels better after a long day than to step into a hot shower or bath and pamper yourself with some wonderful smelling bath products. Here is a great Homemade Peppermint Sugar Scrub that is great not only for making and keeping to use on those nights you need some soothing stress relief, but also an excellent way for you to create inexpensive yet luxurious feeling Christmas gifts for the friends, teachers and coworkers you want to give just a little something to during holiday gift exchanges. Here’s a great Homemade Peppermint Sugar Scrub Recipe that you will love!
Homemade Peppermint Sugar Scrub
INGREDIENTS
2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
Red Food Coloring
Peppermint Essentials Oil (found near Candle Making Supplies at Hobby Lobby or Online)
DIRECTIONS
- Pour sugar into medium sized bowl.
- Mix in coconut oil (add more if you like a wet consistency).
- Add a few drops of your Peppermint Essentials Oil.
- Divide your sugar mixture into two equal sized portions.
- Mix in a few drops of red food coloring to one portion (be careful not to add too much or you will have a bright red).
- Add your sugars to the jar in layers. Press your Sugar down with a spoon or use a can to compact.
- Alternate between your pink and white layers
- Add a Label to the front and maybe a ribbon to gift.
Be sure to print these free labels to use when making your own!
Pick up a few small plastic jars from your local dollar store in various sizes and shapes to create truly unique gifts for each individual you plan on gifting this to. For a further flare of Christmas cheer you could easily separate the sugars into 3 bowls and use green food coloring in one creating a red, white and green theme that carries over the holiday spirit. Perfect for layering this homemade peppermint sugar scrub in a tree shaped jar or container for gifting!

I love this Peppermint Scrub. It smells so good and is really quite good. This would make a great Christmas present to give.

I strongly advise NOT using glass jars for scrubs! One slip & you have broken glass that is nearly impossible to see due to all the water in the tub or shower!

Love, Love, Love! I am going to make this for gifts…..What kind of labels are these?
Krystle says
Do you heat the oil first?
