No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

These classic cookies from childhood are one of the first I learned to make when I stepped into the kitchen as a girl wanting to bake like my Mama.  No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies are so fun, yummy and perfect for surprising your kids with as a great after school treat! No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

NO BAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups Sugar

4 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1 Stick Butter

1/2 Cup Milk

1 Cup Peanut Butter

1 Tablespoon Vanilla

2 Cups Oatmeal

Ingredients

DIRECTIONS

  • Line a baking sheet with was paper or parchment paper
  • Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in a large pan and bring to a boil.
  • Add remaining ingredients, mix well and remove from heat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of mixture on prepared sheet and allow to cool.

Prep

    I have this recipe from my grandmother who had a different name for them (Sweet Little B_____) but after coming to a boil you boil them without stirring for 3 minutes. Her recipe was old as she died in 1968 and she was 60 years old.
