DIY SNOW GLOBE SOAP
Items Needed:
- Clear Melt and Pour Soap
- Mold
- Small Toys
- Microwave Safe Bowl
- Glitter, optional
Mold Ideas:
- Clean Tuna Can
- Ice Cube Tray
- Soup Can
- Silicon Mold
Directions:
- Cut your melt and pour soap into 1 inch cubes and microwave in 20 second bursts, stirring in between each burst, until completely melted.
- Pour just enough soap into your molds to cover the bottom of the mold. Allow soap to harden. *You can speed this process up by placing in the refrigerator for 3-4 minutes.
- Once the first layer of soap has hardened, place your toy into the center of the mold and dust with glitter.
- Pour remaining soap into molds until the toy is completely covered. Allow to harden for 1 hour before removing from the molds.
Tips:
- If the soap isn’t coming out of the mold easily, place them in the freezer for 5 minutes. The soap will shrink a bit making the process easier.
- To remove any unwanted air bubbles, use a spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol to dissipate them.
- You can pick up melt and pour soap at most craft stores.
