Homemade Vanilla Sugar Scrub with only 4 simple and all-natural ingredients. Great cheap homemade Christmas gift. Luxurious, skin-softening, smells great!

Vanilla Homemade Sugar Scrub leaves a light warm scent while exfoliating away dead cells and leaving behind soft supple skin.  Sugar scrubs are a popular homemade Christmas gift for everyone on your list and are easy to make in just minutes with a few pantry ingredients. But vanilla is perfect for year round and not just limited to the holidays.  If you were to pick up a jar of sugar scrub at even an expensive boutique no doubt you would find it full of ingredients that you can barely pronounce, some of which actually dry out your skin! Who wants that on their body? The vanilla is soft and soothing, creating a relaxing feeling… but you could also leave it out and substitute in any of your other favorite extracts or essential oils to the base recipe and create a smell that is uniquely you, or customize it for any gift recipient on your list. Grab a few items out of your pantry and let’s get started!

Store in a cool, dry place.

Use caution as coconut oil may leave your tub or shower slippery, rinse well with hot water and use a towel if needed to absorb any remaining oil.

How long does the scrub last in an air tight container?

From what I’ve gathered (from other sugar scrub forums) it could last a few weeks to a couple months. The general consensus is that you should try to avoid getting water in it. This came out great!
