love your cash4books link sold 3 of my medical books from school thanks so much love your site!
I’ve been a member of surveyheard and just revisited this page of all your survey sites, my surveyhead only offers me magazine rewards now, you have that they have a paypal option, is this still true?
In the rewards panel, click the drop down arrow by where it says “$10.00” – select $25.00 – you’ll see the Amazon gift cards there on page 1, and paypal on page 4.
Hmm, I’m an 18 year old college student still living with my parents and would love to get a little extra cash doing these surveys, but in the registration for some of these sites (surveyhead, for example), they ask for information like income, how many children are in your household, etc… it seems like they want the head of the household to do these surveys, and I’m obviously not lolz. Does this actually matter, or are such questions just ‘standard proceedure’??
Just be honest in answering the questions and they’ll match you to surveys!
I signed up for NPD and it seems that they pay in “sweepland points” which can be entered in contests for cash/prices but that is it. Have I just not received a cash survey yet or is this normal procedure for them?
What about taxes? Do you have to claim the money you make on your taxes at the end of the year?
I don’t remember how I did it, but I did get a $5 check from NPD recently. I would get more from places but I don’t get to do any of them very often. If I could get that organized, I think it might be fun. Sure sounds like it is for everybody else.
Great list of survey sites … thanks, so much for compiling it. What frustrates me is that on some of the survey sites, I’m never eligible for the survey … and I don’t get denied until I’ve already answered a ton of questions. So it’s a waste of my time for no points, money, etc. The best ones are ones where I can actually complete the survey or I’m given partial credit for trying.
I would like to know if anyone here participates in these survey sites setting aside 4 or more hours per day to do them 5 days per week or more. If you are doing this, on average how much per week are you able to earn doing it? I am seriously considering signing up with a few of these since I need a part time income that would allow more flexibility than the job I have now which earns me around $1000 per month but sometimes it’s less if they cut hours based on traffic. Thanks!
I agree with ‘Small Footprints’. It is time consuming and so hardly seems worth it.
noone talks about the taxes. What happens when you owe to uncle sam? then you need to pay self empolyment taxes and full medicare taxes. this adds up! and the surveys are not going to cover it. you need to save at least half of what you make. then how do you prove it to the govertment? you dont get statements like you do a regular job. you need to pay state and federal taxes, some places city tax to. when you make over $600.00 total combined surveys sites and prizes you get from these survey sites.
I like to know how people deal with this so I know what to really do with this.
thank you for your time and efforts in this matter! I am sure I am not the only one thinking of this…….
I am not a tax professional. If you make $600 or more at one particular survey site, that site will send the form to you that you submit along with your taxes. If I make more than $600 at a particular survey site, yes, I do pay taxes on it. Consult your own tax professional for your personal situation. Taxes are very little, compared to what I make on the survey sites. It is definitely worth it to take paid surveys, even if you make more than $600 a year at one site, in my opinion.
& which site do you make 600 at?
The specific sites will vary for everyone. We have some folks making $600 or more a year on the Coupons & Freebies Mom survey panel. Also some folks make that or more in one year on Toluna, Surveyhead, Surveyspot and Mommytalk. I’d say those are some of the biggest ones for most folks.
Is anyone else having any problems with I-Say? For the last several months many times I do the survey when I enter the drawing it doesn’t keep my info! But, sometimes it does! ALSO, there are quite a few survey’s on my list that don’t give me points…they just have a – where points should be! They keep not helping me! They ignor the not getting points and they say it’s just my computer’s fault for the drawing thing (I’m running windows 7!) Just wanted to see if I was alone!
Hi,
I am a SAHM in desperate need of part-time income around $1,000 per month. I thought about trying something like this but I didn’t know if it worked. What have some of you moms done for income? I don’t what to do any party sells.
LOTS OF RIDES
I am a member of all the survey sites above. I have also been doing them for many years. The NPD survey panel, I think, is one of the worst because you don’t actually get any points for gift cards or cash for any surveys. (unless it is a very rare specialty kind of survey. Hardly ever will happen) All you get are Sweepland points that you use to enter their contests. You get to choose which contest to enter your points into but it is definitely NOT worth it. There surveys are way to long. I feel it is one of the worst panels to do surveys. They don’t give you anything to make it worthwhile, yet their are so many other sites that actually DO pay you! Don’t bother with NPD!
I actually think all the sites are worth it because you can qualify for higher paying surveys and paid product trials on basically all the sites. In fact, it’s often some of the lowest paying surveys that lead to the higher paying surveys and paid product tests. In addition, we’ve heard from readers who have won sweepstakes at the various survey sites, so it’s definitely possible to win big too! Good luck!
