Nielsen HomeScanner – get freebies for the grocery shopping you already do: It’s time for an update on the Nielsen Homescan Program. We have had the Nielsen HomeScanner for around 2 months now. We have already reached the first prize level, but I think I may save up for a really big prize – possibly a GPS unit, All in One Printer, Kitchenaid mixer, iPod, or an Xbox. I am accumulating points quicker than I thought I would, due in part to taking lots of Nielsen surveys and regularly scanning our purchases each week. Nielsen adds new prizes to their prize catalog regularly, so it’s always fun to look at the new prizes they’ve added. You can see our Nielsen Homescanner here:
- GET FREEBIES for scanning your groceries! I encourage EVERYONE to see if the Nielsen HomeScan rewards program is now accepting new people in your area. It’s free to sign up and you get free prizes sent to you for scanning your grocery purchases!
- PLEASE NOTE: Even if you tried signing up before, Nielsen HomeScan may now be accepting people for your area. We continue to hear from people who were previously turned down but have now been accepted into the program, so don’t give up!
I’ve been taking online surveys & getting paid since 2000. See my big list of recommended survey sites

I have been a member of the survey panel and recently signed up to join the homescan panel as well. They just opened up in my area and I got some kind of survey from them so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get picked!!!!!!

HI,
I was picked to be a member a while back, I received the scanner and everything and then I had some tragedy in my family so I ended up having to give everything back (they asked for it back after I didn’t submit my weekly transmission ). You have to make sure to report your shopping to them every week even if you buy nothing. They seem like they would have been a great company to work for, hopefully I can use them in the future.

Great reminder Kari – you do transmit every week, even if you buy nothing. However, if you have an illness or emergency, you can let them know and they will put your scanning on hold for several weeks. We did this very thing when my baby was born a few months ago.
