I recently learned about some awesome scholarships available for women. As many of you know, I used to work outside the home until 1.5 years ago. I am now blessed to be able to stay at home with our two wonderful boys. When I read about the Soar Scholarship, I thought of many of you, the moms, reading our blog. The Soar Scholarship may be just what some of you are looking for, and may help you achieve your dreams of staying at home with your children, so I want to share this information with you. If it sounds like something you are interested in, I encourage you to apply… you never know… it could be YOU who gets one of the free scholarships!
The scholarship allows three women to have their photography dreams come true by helping them build their own photography business. These lucky women will receive SONY, Adobe and ShootQ photography equipment for their new business, and will also receive valuable advice from industry leaders. Nationally renowned photographer, Me Ra Koh, created this scholarship to empower and enlighten women. Each SOAR! Scholarship applicant must complete a brief online application, which requires personal & family information, a summary of what makes photography your passion and your time and travel commitments. Applicants must also submit a two-minute video explaining why they are worthy of receiving the SOAR Scholarship. The entire application process proves fast and easy, and all information can be found within the SOAR! Scholarship website.
Update 8:30 am 12/26 – It looks like the application form on the website is temporarily unavailable – you can bookmark the website and check back later. Also, you can email them at [email protected]
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of the SOAR! Scholarship and Me Ra Koh Photography. In addition, I received an Amazon gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Oh man! I really wish I would have heard about this sooner. According to their site, submissions and applications were due by Dec. 21st 🙁
Thank you for the info though. I will definitely follow them over the next year and I will MOST definitely apply if they do another one!
