Homemade Lavender Bath Soak
Are you working on getting healthier from the inside out? Soaking in bath salts are a great way to help rid your body of chemicals and toxins. Â Lavender is soothing to your skin and senses, making it the perfect aroma add in for a relaxing and effective soak. Bath salts can be part of your weekly or at least biweekly routine to help remove impurities from your skin and body, but it is also relaxing for adults and children, and some folks think it can help shorten the duration of cold and flu, and ease aching, sore muscles. Make 3 or 4 batches and keep them in a large jar for weekly baths or anytime you need some extra soothing.
Ingredients:
1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup Baking soda
5-7 drops Lavender essential oil
Optional- I like to add a little Basil essential oil as well to give it a really fresh and earthy scent.
Directions for Homemade Lavender Bath Soak:
Stir epsom salts, baking soda, and lavender together until well mixed.
Place in an airtight, preferably glass jar-a pint mason jar works great for a single batch.
To use: Place 2 cups of mixture into a bath with water as hot as you can stand it and soak for at least 2o minutes, repeat weekly or at least every other week.
