How to Make Onion Dip! Everyone loves chips and dip as a snack or appetizer at a party, but there is nothing quite like having your own homemade Easy French Onion Dip.  Not only is it way better homemade than the kind you can buy in the store, it actually ends up being cheaper most of the time too!  You can keep the ingredients for this on hand all the time, so it’s an easy snack with chips, or a great go to with fresh vegetables, pita chips, and even a dollop on the bun when you grill burgers!  There is nothing as tasty as a bit of this on your baked potato either!

1 Teaspoon Onion Powder

1/8 Teaspoon Celery Salt

1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper

1/8 Teaspoon Sugar

1/8 Teaspoon Paprika

Directions:

  • In a bowl mix all ingredients together until well blended
  • Refrigerate at least one hour prior to serving

Easy French Onion Dip Recipe

This is such a simple recipe to make, and so much tastier than your typical brand dips.  We also love how cost effective it is.  We keep some whipped up in the fridge all the time!

Our Favorite Ways To Use this Easy French Onion Dip:

  • In place of mayonnaise on a sandwich
  • In baked potatoes or twice baked potatoes
  • On meatloaf or hamburgers as a condiment instead of ketchup
  • In place of ranch dip for vegetables
  • Dip for Swedish Meatballs or Little Smokies
  • In potato salad

If your family likes a milder flavor, simply cut the bouillon and dried minced onion in half for a lighter but still flavorful version of this dip.  Place a large batch into a bread bowl and take to your next game day party, holiday event or after game mixer with the family!

Want to keep the powdered mix on hand at all times?  Check out our recipe for Copycat Lipton Onion Soup Mix!
